As part of an established rural barn conversion, we designed and detailed a substantial equestrian layout, which included stabling and an integral barn built in an ‘L’ shape around a new yard area with an adjacent ménage. The structures were constructed of rendered blockwork walls with a slate roof to compliment the adjacent house.
A major development in the Green Belt. The complex includes 50 stables, barns and associated garaging facilities, Full changing facilities with showers and a rest/beverage room are all on site with ample parking for boxes and trailers. Also included within the development is an indoor 40 x 20 arena with covered viewing and an outdoor arena as well as all weather gallops, horse trails, bridleways set within 100 acres of new woodland planting.
The Director of the Practice, Karl Zaldats, has as part of the barn conversion design to his own home, included stabling, storage and ménage for his wifes horses.
Our client, Helen Bradley, a renowned national Dressage Judge and Dressage Competitor, approached us to design a scheme to convert a large barn that they had purchased, and within the development, integrate courtyard stabling with associated equestrian facilities such as hay/feed storage, garaging, ménage and external parking and garden areas.
